Which Tradeshow Display is Right

Attending a trade show can be one of the most beneficial things you do. Businesses exhibit at trade shows to learn about new trends, to meet vendors, to check out their competitors and, most importantly, to collect leads!

If you are interested in attending a trade show and are in the process of purchasing a display, you might notice that there are many types of displays to choose from. Between pop-up displays, banner stands, outdoor displays, tents and more, how do you know which type of tradeshow display is right for you? We don’t want you to feel overwhelmed! Let’s take a look at the different types to help you narrow your choices.

Portable Displays

Portable displays are perfect for the on-the-go marketer and those new to exhibiting. These displays tout premium, lightweight materials without compromising on design options.

If you’re a rookie to exhibiting, portable displays may be the way to go because they are easy to set up. You don’t need to master island exhibit setup or more intricate booths to know how to install a portable display. Setting up a larger display sometimes may require more manpower and a portable display could probably be set up by the power of one.

Although it is smaller in size, you are not sacrificing on the efficacy of your marketing as long as you use creative messaging, professional graphics and complement it with some affordable accessories (shelving, literature racks, chairs, tables or monitors).

You can also use them outside of tradeshows at recruiting events, outside of your brick and mortar and other outdoor functions.

Pop Up Displays

Pop up displays consist of a flexible panel that is attached to an accordion-style frame that expands and locks into place to create a curved or angled wall that makes up the back wall of your trade show booth.

Although these displays may take a little more effort to install (not much more than a portable display), they are well worth the effort. They generally cost less than other display options, are easy to transport and are light weight.

If you want customization, consider pop up displays. Options like lights, monitor holders and shelves can be added to help customize the pop up booth.  Even the case is functional because it can be converted into a meet & greet podium by covering it with fabric or graphic “wraps” along with a plastic top.

Panel Displays

Panel displays are similar to pop up displays but are sturdier and heavier. They add a solid looking back wall to an exhibit booth, because panel systems are a little more structural.  They can easily be configured in many different ways, as they consist of various rectangular sections that are covered in fabric and can connect together. Custom panel systems can be used to make large island exhibits that encompass many options such as back lighting, product display, counters, bridges, and more.

Tension Fabric Displays

Tension fabric exhibits utilize aluminum poles and extrusions and stretch large fabric graphics to create beautiful walls and displays.  Many of the same accessories can be used on this type of display such as lighting, shelving, monitor mounts, etc. but each system is different.  Tension fabric systems offer a very unique look with many custom shapes or off the shelf solutions. Most collapse down for easy shipping and are a breeze to set up. You can find aluminum stock for sale online and purchase your own aluminum pipes or bars to create your own display cost-effectively.

Truss Systems

Truss systems use metal lighting trusses to connect a variety of panels together. If you can afford a huge display and really plan on making an impact at your next event, this more expensive option may be right for you. Truss can be powder coated in a range of colors, covered with graphics, made into counters, shelves, chairs, podiums, displays and more.

Take your time when deciding which display will work the best for you.  Displays will help you look more professional and will attract more people to your booth, resulting in more leads and sales for your business.
