For those of you who have survived start-up and built successful businesses, you may be wondering how to take the next step and grow your business beyond its current status. Regardless of the industry you are in, you can be highly successful and grow your business if you live by these very simple ideologies:

 
  1. Stay focused on the prize: I have always tried to be very strategic in our approach to growth. Make sure that everyone understands in a very crystal clear way what the overall goals of the organization are. This will allow everyone to rally together and take pride in successfully accomplishing them.
  2. Brand Consistency: As you grow, your team will represent the brand in the marketplace on a daily basis. Ensure that the communication reflects a simple message that reinforces the brand. The message needs to be clear and consistent, it’s worth more than any other marketing investment made.
  3. Keep it simple: As problems arise and resolutions are made ensure that you keep a lean simple workflow. It’s easy to add a step to the process when things screw up to ensure that it never happens again but that can be a slippery slope that could add up and impact the process. Be careful, ensure that you eradicate complexity whenever possible.
  4. Share: Bring others into your vision who are critical in helping you achieve your goals. Make sure that you include them in the process so they connect to it as well. Encourage them to contribute and attach their passion to the vision.
 
Make sure to recognize every small step that takes you closer to your desired outcome, celebrate them and don’t forget to be grateful! I have recognized that those who approach life with a sense of gratitude are aware of what is great in their life and live their life seeking greater success!
