Evolve Your Email Marketing

The effectiveness of email is continuing to rise. As consumer expectations and technology evolve, so must your approach. 29% of consumers now open email on their mobile device, yet only 2% of companies have an advanced mobile email marketing strategy. A simple email design and early call to action are key to mobile-friendly viewing, while not optimizing for the small screen can have a devastating effect on your campaign. 89% of consumers will delete a poorly formatted email if viewed on mobile and 27% will unsubscribe.

Inspire your readers to open their email with a curiosity provoking subject line. Expect higher open rates when that content is related to their past behavior. Consider setting up automated triggered emails when your customer does the following:

  1. Opens an account: Send a welcome email. Encourage them to invite a friend to join. Provide a special offer or incentive for sharing on social media.
  2. Puts items in a shopping cart: Remind them complete the purchase. Tell them if their shopping cart is about to expire. Entice with a discount.
  3. Views a product: Ask if they would like to receive relevant emails alerts when that product is on sale or if there are upcoming promotional events.
  4. Completes an order: Thank them for their purchase. Suggest related products, or request reviews and offer discounts for those reviews.
