Leaflet Marketing Distribution Tips

Leaflet marketing distribution is one of the most popular traditional marketing strategies. Not only that it is a cost-effective promotion option but, in today’s digital world, it is still very effective.

According to research conducted by the Direct Marketing Association, 48% of consumers who receive a leaflet actually visited the shop that was advertised on the piece of paper. While some of them reported having asked for some extra information, others actually purchased a product after visiting the shop.

Leaflet distribution options make an ideal channel to communicate with your target audience in a non-demanding and non-selling disruptive manner. Moreover, they are also very engaging as they encourage consumers to reach out to you for more information on their own terms.

However, there are a few things to consider when creating your leaflet marketing strategy. Here are 3 tips to help you get the most out of your leaflet marketing efforts:

Define your goals and target audience

First things first, before you start planning your leaflet marketing strategy, you need to determine what are your final goals. What are you trying to achieve with your strategy? And more importantly, who are you trying to attract? Determining your goals and target audience are the first two most vital steps into creating an effective leaflet distribution strategy.

Your goals will define the message you write on the leaflet. For example, if you are promoting a new product, the leaflet should contain information about why that product is worth purchasing. Or, if you want to attract customers at a sales event, the leaflet must give them information about the event such as the location, time, and most advantageous offers. Simply put, your goals will tell you what the leaflet should present to the audience in order to achieve your primary goal.

Secondly, knowing your target audience is paramount in order to create a leaflet that will capture the reader’s interest and encourage them to take further actions that benefit your business. So, the first thing you must do is learning more about your audience. From finding out where you can find your target audience to what type of message will spark its interest, those details will help you create a strategy that will encourage consumers to respond to your marketing efforts.

Have a clear message

As with any type of marketing strategy, the content you display to the eyes of your audience is king to gain good results. In the case of a leaflet marketing strategy, the content will be the message consumers see on the piece of paper you distribute. So, an effective message must follow an ideal formula of rising three things in your audience: attention, interest, and desire.

First of all, you must grab their attention, so your message must be captivating and engaging. Secondly, you need to raise their interest by offering information that they might be interested in, for example, your newest innovative product. Thirdly, it is all about ensuring that the audience actively desires what you have to offer. So, make sure your leaflet’s message is comprehensive, engaging, and interesting.

Choose the optimum time

So, when it’s the best time to run your leaflet distribution campaign? Some companies choose to do it all year round. But, depending on your business, you should choose the season that is more profitable for your business. For example, if you have a flower shop, you should focus your marketing efforts during events like Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, or Christmas.

Leaflet distribution is certainly a cheap and result-making marketing option when you are planning to attract more clients and increase your sales.
