What’s a good source for a lead list and a good source or site for advertising to MLM prospects?

Answer: Regarding your lead list, the challenge you face is searching for people who want their names off that list. There are several ways to try to approach this group. One is to determine which magazines or publications they read and then contact the publications regarding purchasing/renting from their lists. Another option is to contact mailing list brokers.

Regarding email lists, there are many business opportunity email lists available on the Internet. However, many times these lists are used for spamming, which is highly frowned upon by the majority of the people online today. If you want to market via the Internet, we suggest you look closely at marketing to an opt-in list, even though the response rate is typically not very high for opt-in lists marketing (because they receive so many similar offers).

Electronic-magazine (e-zine) advertising is another option to consider. There is a fairly large list of ezines, which includes detailed information on advertising in the publication, available at:

and
Using the information provided, you will want to contact each one for information on advertising in their publications. If possible, you should sign up for the ezine or at least request a copy, so you can see where you will potentially advertise.

Finally, some of the best online marketing results reported to us have been through two avenues:

1. Placement of banners on websites that generate traffic with the right demographics and pay for the website on a per click-through basis. Websites are generally paid per click-through, which is better for advertisers than a flat fee and better for the site than assuming the risk of a sale being made. It does, however, put pressure on you to deliver the sales pitch.

2. Search engine registration of keywords that draw traffic to your site and your pitch. Again, you need to be thinking in terms of a per click-through cost.
No matter which list or advertising option you choose, be active and pay close attention to which online activities lead to sales and which lead to wasted time.
