What Do I Want

Let’s talk about something else that can impact your sales, impact your business, and impact you personally. There are really just two basic questions when you’re looking at your sales and what you want to happen in your business, how you want your business to grow, what you want your business to look like a week from now, a month from now, or a year from now. Whether it is in your personal life or your business life, the first and most important question is “What do I want?” If you don’t know what you want, you don’t know what you want to accomplish, it is very difficult to get there. You can’t just go out to the airport and say, “Send me someplace.” I guess you could, but you can’t be unhappy with where you get because you weren’t definitive about where you wanted to go. Do you have a <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://smallbizclub.com/startup/personal-readiness/your-focus/">clearly defined idea </a>written out of what you want? What do I want to accomplish? What do I want to accomplish with this product, with this service?But here’s the other important question – What am I going to do about it? Not waiting for “What is my spouse going to do? If they would change, I would change.” “What is my partner going to do? If they would change, I would change.” “I’m going to wait for the marketplace to change, and then I’ll change.” No. The question is what are you going to do about it? Now?Until you <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://smallbizclub.com/leadership/ck46-best-practices/focus-on-your-top-priorities/">accept responsibility </a>for that, and you can ask yourself that question – “What am I going to do about it?” and then answer that question very specifically, you’re not going to get the results that you want.
